This part started out on the lathe with two opperations. The first was to cut the initial contour.
The second was to flip the part around and cut a c'bore on the backside. Then it went to the mill to square it up and drill some holes.
This part was finished off on the Sinker EDM by adding the square cornered slots that will lock the shift lever in place and keep the tranny in gear.
This picture shows the finished slots. As you might have noticed, the electrode was rotated 90 degrees for one of the slots.
