The First Test Runs
This is probably the best picture I have been able to take of Bad Monkey Jr. in action and it was on one of the first test runs. You can make out the stock Parma #10388 Dodge Body with the bed cut out to clear the suspension components.
Heres a pictures from a distance of Jr rippin around.
Making the approach on the crux, the top of this mound is over 45 degrees.
This is the steep part and Jr slips a bit but climbs it no problem.
This picture shows jr coming down the backside of the mound after climbing over the top.
This picture shows me detaching the sway-bar so I can test the suspension travel in the rough stuff
Jr did good, with a little work it will be done and I can really test it. Finishing the Roll Cage will allow me to have more fun with piece of mind.
This next set of pictures shows Jr a few months later with all the parts completed along with some modifications and the Custom Body with Tonteau Top made by Parma.
This thing is so fast that I cant seem to get any good pictures of it moving. I dont get much sun around here in the winter time so its not the best lighting either.
You may have noticed that the mound has changed too. I made a new wider road that goes around the mound and there are a couple of options for climbing over the mound. One of the steepest routes is to go parallel to where the truck is in this picture but just a couple of feet to the left.
This picture shows Jr. on top of the hill outlined in the previous picture, you can see how steep it is this picture.
This picture is featured on the Bad Monkey Jr. page and it shows a pretty cool route over the hill.
This picture is featured on the Bad Monkey Jr. page and it shows Jr on the back road of the mound.
This run gave me some ideas to improve the design and I have completed the modifications since. To see newer pictures of Jr ripping around, check out the next page. Winter is gone and my track has finaly dried out!
