The new Hill Climb
I added a new Hill Climb to my track that starts to go up the side of the hill and then turns and joins
up with the existing hill. The larger image of this thumbnail (click) has a purple line showing where the
new section of track is on the hill.
This is an arial view from my deck looking down on the track. The larger image of this thumbnail
(click) has a purple line showing where the new section of track is on the hill and where the previous
route was. This is only a couple of pronounced routes over this hill, the possibilities
are endless!
This dirt is much softer than the existing hills so Jr has to roast the tires to climb this hill. I
actually rolled Jr twice this time out all thanx to my new hill! Jr came away without even a scratch or
a ding thanx to my .040 thick custom Parma body and full solid aluminum Roll Cage!
This run I am using my clear body that just has decals on it and some trim paint. This is one of three
bodies I have for Jr. I have a Metallica Black Body, The Clear body shown on this page, and a really Kick
Ass 8 color airbrushed body that you will see in RCCA!
I also added another big boulder to the boulder pile rock climb and the next few pictures show Jr
traversing the giant boulders.
This picture shows Jr up on top of the boulder pile and is also a great view of the new section of track
in the background.
The next obstical on this route is the top of the hill climb and then I can go down the hill or up on
the new section of track and down the new Hill Climb.
This is a great shot that shows the tires spinning on the way up the boulder pile.
This is another great shot taken by my girlfriend Kristy with the front tire way up on the boulder!
This picture was taken on the way down the backside of the boulder pile and shows the suspension doing
its job. The anti-sway bar is connected and yet the suspension can still flex hard!
The next three pictures are in sequence showing Jr climbing the good ol "top of the hill" climb. This is
one of my favorite climbs on the hill and it has many variations too.
The top of the hill can be reached from just about any approach, but some are more difficult for Jr than
others like the vertical rock face you can see in this picture.
Down the backside of the hill is always fun and there is a couple of options where to go from here thanx
to my new section of track. I will be expanding my track as much as I can this summer so keep checking
back for new pictures!
